
The study group "nutritional-neuroscience" consists of an interdisciplinary team of pharmacists, food chemists, nutritional scientists, biophysicists and chemists, supported by bachelor and master students of the disciplines chemistry and biochemistry. With its all-embracing expertise the team is dedicated to explore the underlying mechanisms of brain ageing and of neurodegenerative diseases and it`s modulation by food-based prevention and pharmacological intervention.
